Upper Austrian companies, clubs, initiatives and school classes that care about the environment and sustainability can apply for the Upper Austrian Feronia Sustainability Prize from January 13th to February 3rd. The namesake of the prize, which is being awarded for the second time together with the Oberbank and the state of Upper Austria, is the ancient Italian goddess Feronia – she stands for spring and earth.
The jury selects a winner from each of the four categories (Thoroughly Sustainable, Products and Services, Diversity of Sustainability and Sustainable Learning and Teaching). Last year’s winners Christian Beck (company Beck Fastening from Mauerkirchen) and Wolfgang Pfoser-Almer (sustainability fair WeFair) will also have a say. The nominees and winners will be honored at a gala on March 14th.
