The online newspaper “TechCrunch” reported this on Thursday (local time), citing insiders from the company. Because of the job cuts, Pixar’s 1,300-employee team will shrink to fewer than 1,000 in the coming months, the paper reported.

According to the online newspaper, Pixar’s employee numbers are too high. According to the studio, the number of affected employees has not yet been completely determined. As TechCrunch wrote, layoffs are not imminent, but are expected to occur later this year.
