A database of 51 thousand numbers is being sold on the darknet, presumably the clients of BCS World of Investments, Izvestia learned.
By these numbers, clients enter their personal account on the BCS World of Investments website and trade on the stock exchange, withdraw money, view reports, the seller specified to Izvestia. According to him, most of the numbers belong to residents of Moscow. There are no passwords in the database.
According to the seller, it is planned to sell the base to one person at a price of 15 rubles per room. You can buy it for two ethers (the equivalent of about 650 thousand rubles). The seller emphasized that he “snapped” the base (received by brute force. – “Izvestia”).
“The information security staff of BCS conducted a thorough analysis, there were no leaks of client data from the company. We traditionally take all possible measures to protect customer data. The databases sold on the market have nothing to do with BCS, ”the BCS financial group told Izvestia.
Anonymized information with phone numbers cannot be attributed to personal data, Roskomnadzor told Izvestia. The service stressed that in this case we are not talking about the leak of the personal data base of the company’s clients.
