The Government confirmed that there will be an increase in utility rates on a monthly basis. While the different public hearings are taking place and a greater impact is expected for the middle sectors, there is a question of who can access the social rate.
The social tariff for electricity, gas and water is aimed at retirees and pensioners, people with disabilities, beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and those who receive unemployment benefits. Requirements to access:
- Retirees, pensioners or workers in a dependency relationship with gross remuneration less than or equal to 2 Minimum Living and Mobile Wages.
- Registered monotributist workers in a category whose annual monthly income does not exceed 2 times the Minimum Living and Mobile Wage.
- Beneficiaries of Non-Contributory Pensions with gross monthly income not exceeding 2 times the Minimum Living and Mobile Wage.
- Holders of social programs.
- Users registered in the Social Monotax Regime.
- Users in the Special Social Security Regime for Domestic Service Employees (26,844).
- People who receive unemployment insurance.
- Holders of Life Pension for South Atlantic War Veterans.

To access the social rate in electricity service of Edenor or Edesurcustomers must enter the website of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE) and complete the form to obtain the discount on the service.
Requirements to access:
- Retirees, pensioners or workers in a dependency relationship with gross remuneration less than or equal to two minimum wages Vitals and Mobiles.
- Workers monotributistas registered in a category whose annual monthly income does not exceed twice the Minimum Living and Mobile Wage.
- Beneficiaries of non-contributory pensions with gross monthly income not exceeding twice the Minimum Living and Mobile Wage.
- Holders of social programs.
- Workers registered in the Social Monotax Regime.
- Workers included in the Special Social Security Regime for Domestic Service Employees (Law No. 26,844).
- Unemployment insurance holders.
- Holders of Life Pension for South Atlantic War Veterans.
