The company METATEC Metalltechnik was founded in 1996 and is active in the field of locksmith work. Among other things, fall protection and railings for large construction sites are manufactured and installed. The application for restructuring proceedings without self-administration was submitted to the Steyr regional court, report the creditor protectors KSV1870 and AKV. According to information from the insolvency application, the liabilities amount to 3.7 million euros – this is offset by free assets of around 390,000 euros.

The reasons given are increased material prices, inflation-related wage increases and general interest rate increases. Due to fixed price agreements, these increases could hardly be passed on to their own customers, which ultimately made it necessary to file for insolvency.

The company, which currently employs 12 people, is to be continued. The 70 creditors are offered a quota of 20 percent, payable within two years. According to the insolvency application, the financing of this restructuring plan is to be guaranteed through continued operation and the sale of non-essential fixed and current assets.
