Based on the survey, inflation represents the biggest concern (61%), followed by economic volatility (53%) and cyberattacks (26%). Far from these priorities were other structural issues, which can be decisive in the medium and long term, such asto climate crisis (12% of responses), social inequality (21%) or geopolitical conflicts (12%).


In this sense, the partner in charge of PwC Argentina, Miguel Urusstressed that inflation represents the biggest concern for CEOs.
“We face a local scenario of uncertainty and winds of change that condition our roadmap, and the challenges of the local situation must be balanced with the demands for medium and long-term transformation: an agenda that will require an extra share of skill and focus throughout 2024“said Urus.
The main local obstacle that Argentine businessmen face today is the regulatory environment (58% placed them in first place), followed by instability in Supply Chain (30%) and limitations of access to financial resources (28%).
Regarding climate change and technology, the report highlights that despite short-term uncertainty, Argentine companies “appeal to your resilience to confront the threats.
Artificial intelligence: the challenge ahead
“In relation to the Artificial Intelligence (AI)58% of local leaders failed to incorporate that technology in their organizations during the last year and half (51%) rejected the idea that the emergence of this technology has changed the technological strategy of their companies,” the survey detailed.
When asked about the risks involved in adopting AI, most believe that cyberattacks, disinformation campaigns and reputational damage could increase.
On the global stage, the survey indicates that 38% of respondents are optimistic about the prospects for global economic growth in the next 12 months; which represented an increase of 18% compared to the 2023 survey.
