This agreement was reached with compliance with the fourth clause of the Paritaria 2023 closing agreement and the third of the Paritaria 2024 initiation minutes.
The Federation of Workers of the Oilseed Industrial Complex, Cotton Ginners and Related Workers of the Argentine Republic (FTCIODyARA) reached an agreement with the employer representatives of the CIARA, CIAVEC and CARBIO chambers and carried out the initial basic salary of a laborer to $992,161.89 as of January 1, 2024. It is for those workers who are in the Collective Labor Agreement 420/05.
This agreement was reached with the fulfillment of the Fourth clause of the 2023 joint venture closing agreement and third of the minutes of the start of the Paritaria 2024, the parties met to readjust the values of the scales in force as of December 2023 until reaching the percentage of total CPI for said period, closing the joint year 2023 with a percentage increase of 211.4%.
Consequently, on the scales resulting from the aforementioned readjustment, the agreed increase for the year 2024 of 41% according to the details of categories and values that arise from the scales of the Collective Labor Agreement 420/05, which brings the basic salary for the initial category – laborer – to $992,161.89.
Paritarias: what was the union’s argument to reach the negotiation
The claim was found to be based on the right to a Minimum salary, vital and movil that assures workers in their legal work day the satisfaction of the 9 needs contemplated there: adequate food, decent housing, education, clothing, health care, transportation and recreation, vacations and pensions.
In the same way and for the same reason as the Salary readjustmentit was agreed to increase proportionally the extraordinary and non-remunerative sum, whose value was updated to $644,010.07 for all oil workers covered by Collective Labor Agreement 420/05.
