After the stock market rally at the end of 2023, dwindling hopes of imminent interest rate cuts had recently slowed prices in this country again. After three loss-making trading days in a row, the Dax gained something again for the first time on Thursday, after falling to its lowest level since the beginning of December in the middle of the week. Despite the current stabilization, the weekly balance in the German leading index is still slightly negative.

The MDax of medium-sized corporate stocks also continued to rise on Friday morning shortly after the stock market opened, increasing by 0.68 percent to 25,726 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 was recently around half a percent higher at 4,476 points.
