In the USA, on the other hand, the proportion is growing rapidly: from 1.5 percent to 8.1 percent. In Germany, the proportion of companies that only want to hire vaccinated people is still low. According to the study, only 0.2 percent of the tenders in Germany and the Netherlands would explicitly formulate mandatory vaccinations. This can also be due to the applicable laws. The employer cannot tell its employees that they have to be vaccinated. In fact, he is not even allowed to query the vaccination status (medical professions have a special role).

A look at current job advertisements shows that new hires in Germany are required to be vaccinated against Corona. For example, a small German airline is currently looking for flight attendants (f / m / d). The job requirements not only require a completed school education, safe swimming, fluent English and intercultural competence, but also a willingness to vaccinate, including Covid-19 vaccination.

But there is another way: In Lüneburg, searches are currently being made. The employer attracts with a 150 euro start-up bonus, which is paid out after three months in the company, with 30 days of vacation, employee discounts at various companies and remuneration above the collective bargaining agreement – as well as the information that you can do the job “even without a vaccination”.
