The SPÖ Upper Austria is now calling for the decision in favor of BYD to be suspended until the decision has been examined by the EU Commission (this was initiated in December of the previous year), and will submit a motion in the state parliament session tomorrow, Thursday. The state government is also calling for a reform of the procurement guidelines and a new tender taking into account European industrial jobs as well as good ecological and social standards. It is said that there needs to be a greater focus on balanced and fair procurement practices at the business location.
