Solid natural soap replaces liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo. In addition to excess packaging material, microplastics can also be saved. Claudia Pargfrieder from Haibach im Mühlkreis has been devoting himself part-time to the sustainable production of natural soaps since 2021. The products from “Reines Glück” are boiled by hand in small batches. “This leaves a bit of room for creativity and artistic freedom. Every piece of soap is unique,” says the business owner. If desired, personalized soaps can also be designed for special occasions. The traditional cold soaping method is extremely energy-saving. The products are scented exclusively with pure, natural essential oils; they get their color by adding clay, plant powder or activated carbon. The packaging is plastic-free. “We grow the herbs and flowers for that special touch on our own farm,” explains Pargfrieder. There would also be room for expanding production there. There are currently eleven different types of soap. (lg)
