From now on, only cars worth more than  million will pay the luxury tax

The decree was published in the Official Gazette with the changes anticipated by Ámbito. According to the rule, the tax base for the first scale, which today is $10,364,800, changes to $19,826,151 and will pay a rate of 20%, while the second scale rises from $19,135,000 to $36,602,126, with a rate of 35 %.

In this way, the automotive market, which has been waiting since the beginning of January for this change, will be unlocked and automotive companies will begin to invoice vehicles to the network and official price lists for each brand will be known.

The Government published today in the Official bulletin that introduces changes in the regime of Internal taxes for 0km cars.

According to the standard, The tax base for the first scale, which today is $10,364,800, goes to $19,826,151 and will pay a rate of 20%, while the second scale rises from $19,135,000 to $36,602,126, with a rate of 35%.

This way, The cars will begin to pay taxes now, in the first case, from approximately $28,200,000 in public price (today they pay from $14,700,000), while for the second case they will pay from $63,000,000 (today they pay from the $32,000,000)just as Ámbito had anticipated.

In this way, the automotive market, which has been waiting since the beginning of January for this change, will be unlocked and automotive companies will begin to invoice vehicles to the network and official price lists for each brand will be known.

In practice, a large number of models will stop paying what is known as the “luxury” tax and there will be a rearrangement of prices that will begin to be known in the next few hours when each company publishes its new lists.
