The Central Bank decided this Wednesday together with the Ministry of Economy that 80% of SMEs will be able to access the official dollar to pay debts.
He Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA)together with the Secretary of Commerce of the Nation, reported this Wednesday, January 25, that the access to the foreign exchange market for nearly 10,000 companies within the micro, small and medium (MSME) category that have declared debts for up to US$500,000 so that they can cancel all of their commitments abroad in the next 3 months.

According to the joint statement they issued, the measure was taken as a result of:


- having completed the Register of Commercial Debt with abroad (which closed this January 24),
- the accumulation of international reserves in recent weeks (the BCRA has purchased almost US$5.8 billion in the Milei era)
- and the high acceptance of the BOPREAL Series 1.
