Regionality in the farm shop: “Lengauer Laden” has applied for Feronia

A regional local supplier with an environmentally conscious range: The “Lengauer Laden” has been in operation in the community of Lengau since 2018. The project was created in collaboration with Lebenshilfe Oberösterreich. The aim is also social sustainability by providing people with disabilities with an inclusive working environment. Regional products from 80 suppliers from Lengau and the surrounding area are sold. The journeys are short, the added value remains in the region.

The farm shop is an applicant in the “Sustainable Products and Services” category for the OÖN Feronia Sustainability Prize, which is awarded jointly with the state of Upper Austria and the Oberbank. The other categories are: “Thoroughly sustainable”, “Diversity of sustainability” and “Learning and teaching sustainably”. Upper Austrian companies, clubs, schools and initiatives that are committed to sustainability can apply.
