The last tender for Series 1 of the bonus for importers will be held this Tuesday and will be open until Wednesday, January 31. What is the objective of the BCRA?
The Central Bank (BCRA) will face the last tender from Series 1 of the Bonds for the Reconstruction of a Free Argentina (BOPREAL), with the objective of completing the quota of US$5,000 million established for this stage.

The operation will be open until Wednesday the 31st and after that date the final result will be known, according to the schedule established by the Finance Secretary.


Last BOPREAL tender: how long has the contract been awarded? BCRA?
In the four previous operations the BCRA awarded US$4,096 million, so in this new auction they are available US$904 million.
As indicated by the monetary authority, subscriptions made before January 31 have the following benefits:
- The amount subscribed will not be reached by the COUNTRY taxregardless of the percentage of debt entered prior to December 12, 2023.
- Those who subscribe BOPREAL Series 1 for at least 50% of the debt, as of February 1st They will be able to access the official exchange market for up to 5% of what is subscribed. Additionally, they may also cancel the part of the remaining debt with the flow of foreign currency from the exports they carry out and whose collection settlements would have been due to be entered as of the March 1, 2025according to the established regulatory deadlines, up to a maximum of 10% per month.
- They may also cancel it in advance in case of obtaining advance collection of exports that should be entered in the same period (that is, at a rate of 10%, per month, starting in March 2025).
- In the event that the subscription of BOPREAL Series 1 is less than 50% but greater than or equal to 25% of the debt, importers will be allowed to cancel the unsubscribed part with up to 50% of the foreign exchange flow from exports that would have been received starting in March 2025. , with the same scheme as in the previous item.
