The increase in biofuels was carried out through Resolutions 5/2024 and 6/2023 published this Thursday in the Official Gazette. The recitals establish that it is necessary to address the “exceptionality derived from the impact of the current macroeconomic context in the biodiesel cost structure destined for the mandatory mixture with diesel within the framework of Law No. 27,640, setting and publishing on the website of this Secretariat the price of said product for the operations to be carried out from February 1, 2024 and until a new price replaces it, clarifying that that is the minimum value to which marketing operations in the domestic market must be carried out”.
Biodiesel: what is the new value
Energy set at $940,334 per ton the minimum acquisition price of biodiesel intended for mandatory mixing with diesel within the framework of the provisions of Law No. 27,640, for the operations to be carried out from the entry into force of this measure. and until a new price replaces it. In December the value was $923,590 per ton, which represents an increase of 1.8%.
The payment period for biodiesel may not exceed, in any case, SEVEN (7) calendar days from the date of the corresponding invoice.
Bioethanol: what is the new value
In the case of bioethanol based on sugar cane, the value increased 25.93% to $584,180 (at the end of December it was $463,911 per liter).
In the case of corn-based bioethanol, the minimum price will be $536,983 per liter.
The payment term for bioethanol made from sugar cane and corn may not exceed, in any case, THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date of the corresponding invoice.
