They warn that the future of 1,400 companies and 200,000 jobs is at risk. The entity demanded from the national and provincial authorities “a very short-term solution to the problems raised.”

The body of the business chamber that called the meeting is made up of Councilors from the different provinces. In this framework, they raised the problems that the sector addresses and that many of them classified as “terminal in nature.” Then They issued a harsh statement in which they indicated that “if the current serious situation persists, it will have irreversible effects on the sector in particular and the economy in general.”

On this point they specified that The paralysis of public works throughout the country puts the activity of 1,400 companies and more than 200,000 jobs at risk. Along these lines, they demanded from the national and provincial authorities “a very short-term solution to the problems raised.” Businessmen claim that there are more than 3,000 paralyzed projects throughout the country and warn of a “break in the payment chain.”

“Across the country, the danger of mass layoffs, halving or less of staff, the bankruptcy of countless construction companies and their suppliers is imminent.
