After a decline, prices for Super E10 and diesel are rising again. What drivers now have to pay at gas stations.
Fuel prices have risen noticeably in the past few days. As the ADAC announced, a liter of Super E10 rose in price compared to the previous week by a nationwide average of 3.4 cents to 1.768 euros. Drivers even had to pay 4.6 cents more for diesel, which costs 1,767 euros. This means that after a decline, prices are back to their November level.
The reason for this was, on the one hand, the increase in crude oil prices and, on the other hand, the weaker euro, explained the ADAC. A barrel of Brent oil rose in price from $79 to $83 in one week. However, the situation in the Middle East now appears to have eased somewhat and a further increase in oil prices has stopped. According to ADAC, the cheapest time to refuel is between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., but also between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Filling up a tank in the morning usually costs a few euros more.
