Personal advice is possible at the Linz AK headquarters and in all AK district offices by appointment. Alternatively, those seeking advice can also use the offer via video consultation, once a month in the evening. The telephone advice hotline is available from Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday until 1:30 p.m.: 050 6906-1601.
For people who want to reorient themselves professionally, the AK also offers strengths workshops with individual coaching and for AK members also the free potential analysis with results handout and individual discussions worth more than 100 euros.
AK members also receive a 150 euro educational bonus for selected courses from the BFI, VHS, WIFI and FAB Organos program. The selection is large and ranges from IT/ICT, languages, personality development, basic training (including crane and forklift driver’s license), accounting, further training in health and social professions and even completing an apprenticeship.
In addition to the AK education bonus, AK members receive discounts (up to 25 percent) on educational offers at the BFI, the VHS and FAB Organos. AK funding is also available for completing the Matura at a secondary school for working people and for attending the building crafts school.
Ms L. completed her professional qualification as a chef at the BFI Upper Austria last year. With funding from the Upper Austrian Education account and all AK discounts, the entire preparation ultimately only cost her 740 euros instead of 2,800 euros.
