According to the bankruptcy filing, the GenussPabst butcher shop from Vöcklabruck “danced at too many weddings.” The additional operation of the “Village Hill” nightclub as well as the catering and direct delivery offered could not be managed by the company with 13 employees.
On Monday, restructuring proceedings without self-administration were opened at the Wels regional court. GenussPabst’s original business idea was the processing and direct delivery of meat products. However, business was slowed down by customers’ reluctance to consume.
According to the Credit Protection Association of 1870, the liabilities are around 1.2 million euros. The fifty creditors are offered a 20 percent quota within two years.
According to the bankruptcy filing, significant fixed assets and some apartments are owned by the company, which was founded in 2022. The value of these assets will have to be checked by the insolvency administrator – lawyer Thomas Herzog has been appointed, reports the KSV. The creditor protection associations AKV and Creditreform also reported on the insolvency.
