The MDax of medium-sized stocks recorded an increase of 1.13 percent to 26,004.88 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading index for the euro zone, gained 1.5 percent.
The boom in artificial intelligence (AI) continues to drive strong growth at the US chip company Nvidia and caused its shares to jump in after-hours trading in New York. “Nvidia is keeping the rally going,” wrote market expert Thomas Altmann from asset manager QC Partners. Nvidia’s quarterly figures legitimize at least part of the impressive AI rally.
