The President gave details about the meeting he had with Gopinath, where he declared: ”We had a very good meeting. It is a very easy meeting to run. She mentioned it herself. Having the possibility of discussing with a president who is also an economist simplifies the conversation. We met for about an hour and forty minutes. It was a very positive talk.”.
Then she highlighted that ”she stated that the fund is very satisfied with the task we are carrying out and appreciates the conviction I have. “They are very committed to our case and are willing to accompany us.”
As journalist Lilana Franco reported for this medium, Milei referred to a renegotiation: ”We have a program, but We could move on to another type of program and they are willing to accompany us. It is not a minor issue. We have to see the characteristics that we decide to give to the program. We have some hypotheses.”
Furthermore, he assured: ”What the IMF has committed to is to continue accompanying us. “If they are willing to do that, it means supporting a program, with new funds if required.”
