Missions in a state of emergency and agricultural disaster

It was confirmed by the Ministry of Economy of the Nation. The measure will be in force until April 29, 2024 and includes more than 10 departments of Misiones.

He Ministry of Economy of the Nationdeclared the state of Emergency and/or Agricultural Disaster in Missionsdue to “the hail storms, strong winds and prolonged rainfall” that were experienced in the second half of 2023.

As detailed in Resolution 41/2024, the state of emergency covers the following departments: Guarani, Saint Peter, 25 of May, Obera, San Javier, Cainguas, San Ignacio, Leandro N. Alem, Liberator General San Martín, Monte Carlo, The Golden, Puerto Iguazu, General Manuel Belgrano.

The measure will be in force for 180 days and includes from November 1, 2023 to April 29, 2024.

“In order to be able to benefit from the benefits provided by Law No. 26,509 and its modifications, the affected producers must present a certificate issued by the competent authority of the province, stating that their properties or farms are included in the cases provided for in said article,” they clarified in the document signed by the Minister of Economy of the Nation, Luis Caputo.

The Resolution also clarifies that “the national banking institutions, official or mixed, and the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), will arbitrate the necessary means so that the agricultural producers included in this resolution enjoy the benefits provided for in Articles 22 and 23. of Law No. 26,509 and its amendments.”
