The AUA therefore had to cancel 112 flights on Friday morning. The 12,000 affected passengers have been informed and rebooked, according to the airline. The reason for the works meeting is the stalled collective agreement negotiations. After eight rounds of discussions, there is still no salary agreement.

Since further adjustments to the flight schedule may occur at short notice, the airline advises passengers to check their flight status on the austrian.com website, the Austrian app or via Travel ID (with registration).

The Bord works council and the vida union are currently informing employees at the works meeting about the status of this year’s salary negotiations. It’s about the collective agreement for pilots and flight attendants. After a good economic year for the aviation industry and a significant increase in ticket prices, the union is demanding that employees also benefit in the form of good salary increases.
