The letter received by the taxpayers clarifies that “they can choose to become self-employed on a voluntary basis, and in this way access greater administrative benefits and the reduction of tax costs established by the Law of Support and Fiscal Inclusion for Small Taxpayers” .
“The regulations created a bridge between the simplified regime and the general regime with the intention of facilitating the transition by alleviating the difference in the tax burden that exists in both universes,” AFIP recalled.
Since the enactment of the law, all monotributistas who become self-employed experience a “significant reduction in the tax burden consisting of tax credits for VAT and deductible expenses for Earnings of up to 50% of the maximum amount of monotax income.”
Those who make the change until December 31, 2021 will experience additional tax benefits for three years, with a reduction in the debit balance arising from the difference between the debit and the tax credit in each period.
The body clarified that to carry out the modification of the tax status and access the benefits, taxpayers must enter the monotributo portal at https://monotributo.afip.gob.ar.
