Stock exchange in Frankfurt: DAX remains stable, just below record high

With new highs in the USA behind it, the Dax stayed just below its record mark on Monday. The leading German index reached this point on Friday morning at 17,816 points, before inflation data from the euro zone triggered profit-taking.

With new highs in the USA behind it, the Dax stayed just below its record mark on Monday. The leading German index reached this point on Friday morning at 17,816 points, before inflation data from the euro zone triggered profit-taking.

The Dax was now stable with an increase of 0.02 percent to 17,738.14 points. The MDax of medium-sized companies gained 0.27 percent to 26,190.64 points, and the Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 advanced by 0.11 percent to 4900.43 points.

On Friday, positive economic news in the USA, the prospect of good business with artificial intelligence and the prospect of monetary easing fueled the record hunt on the stock exchanges there. The most important technology indices and also the market-wide S&P 500 reached highs.
