Government cancels another 236 social plans due to irregularities

The Government continues with its chainsaw plan. In this framework, this Wednesday it was made official through the Official Gazette, under the Resolution 115/2024, the suspension of payment of the Complementary Social Salary to 236 people found in the program Enhance Work.

According to the official text, the suspension is due to possible incompatibility with the program rules, since these people appear with public employment in the districts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Chaco, San Juan, San Luis, Neuquén, Santiago del Estero and La Pampa.

It should be remembered that this program aims improve the income of people in situations of high social and economic vulnerability through two types of benefits:

  • Ministerial subsidies and/or credits: granted to the Management Units for the execution of activity plans that promote the implementation, development and strengthening of socio-productive, socio-labor and socio-community projects within the framework of the program.

  • The official text mentions that in this way the Ministry of Human Capital, which assumed the functions of the Ministry of Social Development, eliminated by DNU, detected “possible violations of the program”, for which it requested the preventive suspension of beneficiaries by the Fiscal Unit for the Investigation of Crimes related to Social Security.

    In response to the request, “a data cross-check was carried out and people in a possible situation of incompatibility were identified.” As a result, it was decided to preventively suspend the payment of the Complementary Social Salary to these people for a period of three monthswith the possibility of graduating from the program if no claims are filed during this period.
