The warning strikes are once again paralyzing flight operations. Verdi wants to continue the strike until Saturday morning.
The continued warning strikes by ground staff have also caused numerous Lufthansa flight cancellations today.
Once again, only 10 to 20 percent of the originally planned flights will take place, said a company spokesman. This means that around 1,000 flights will be canceled again, especially at the Munich and Frankfurt hubs.
In Frankfurt and Hamburg, passengers were able to board again after the checkpoints for the security area remained closed the day before due to an additional strike by security staff. Verdi wants to continue the strike until Saturday morning at 7:10 a.m. Lufthansa is therefore expecting initial delays and some cancellations for Saturday. Air traffic should then return to normal during the morning.
