Increases unemployment benefits for rural workers

The Government increased the amounts of unemployment benefits for all rural workerswhich as of this month were set at a minimum of $42,500 and a maximum of $85,000.

The measure was formalized through the Resolution 1101/2024 of the National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (RENATRE) published this Friday in the Official Gazette.

The last update had been approved in November of last year, when a minimum amount of $35,000 and a maximum of $70,200 was established.

Law 25,191 establishes that the rural employer must contribute a monthly contribution to RENATRE of 1.5% of the total remuneration paid to each worker.

The Executive Branch has now ordered that the necessary financial expenditures required by the increase in unemployment benefits will be met with the financial resources of that organization.

RENATRE is an autonomous entity “under non-state public law”, created by law, and made up of members of organizations from across the rural sector, whose management is headed by representatives of the business and union entities involved in the activity.
