The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia issued a warning to the management of Agrotorg LLC (Pyaterochka retail chain) to reduce prices for a number of products in the Chelyabinsk Region. This is stated in the message of the department’s department for the region, which was received by Izvestia on Thursday, December 16.
It is clarified that the violation of the cost of production was committed in the Locomotive urban district.
“The service has established that the cost of socially significant products there is higher than in other municipalities of the region with a share of less than 35% in the retail food market,” the statement says.
The FAS added that in accordance with the law on the protection of competition, economic entities occupying a dominant position are prohibited from unreasonably selling the same products at different prices.
The regulator also notified Agrotorg of the need to reduce food prices to the general level in this chain in the Chelyabinsk region.
Earlier, on November 29, the Federal Antimonopoly Service demanded that the Khoroshiy store reduce food prices in Khakassia. OFAS Russia for the region revealed that retail prices for butter, milk, flour and onions are overstated in this store in Sorsk compared to the cost of these products in the capital of the republic, Abakan, where the market is competitive.
