Fast food chain: Worldwide disruption at McDonalds

No burgers due to IT failure? According to international media reports, McDonald’s confirms that there are still disruptions in Germany.

Due to IT problems, McDonald’s customers also had to expect problems in German branches. “There have been isolated technical disruptions in our restaurants. The problem has now been resolved,” a spokeswoman for the fast food chain told the German Press Agency in Munich.

McDonald’s is working hard to provide the usual service again, said the spokeswoman. “However, there may still be disruptions in service or changed opening times.” The spokeswoman emphasized that it was not a “cybersecurity event”.

According to the BBC, in addition to restaurants in Germany, branches in Great Britain, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are also affected. Accordingly, the disruptions began in the early hours of the morning. The cause of the disruption is still unclear.
