And he added: “Thank God, we avoided that scenario. Today the dollar is worth almost half, and real sales are made at a price significantly lower than what is reflected in the statistics.”
Along the same lines, Caputo pointed out that “the 2×1 scheme today does not serve the people, it does not serve the country, and in the long run it does not serve the merchant either, because if he sold the first unit at the real price at which he is willing to sell, we would already be at very low inflation levels, which would help recover salaries, with it sales, and with it the economy.

“Jumbo changing the modality of its promotions,” he highlighted the minister, after the company decided to replace the 3×2 and 2×1 promotions with unit offers and discounts of 50%.
Subsequently, the minister wrote a tweet to journalist Luis Novaresio in which he refers to the request he made to the supermarkets. On the one hand, he pointed out that “There are people who do not buy two units to access a discount”which means that you end up buying “a unit at an excessive price.”
