The Ministry of Economy established the rates that passenger transport vehicles have to pay. These with the amounts set for 2024.
Government increased the National Transportation Inspection Ratewhich must be paid annually by the operators, human and/or legal persons who carry out passenger motor transportation services or activities that are subject to the control and supervision of Transport, today within the orbit of the Ministry of Economy.
As arranged, they are set in $33,364.80 and $70,966.40 the minimum and maximum amountsrespectively, of the National Transportation Inspection Rate corresponding to the year 2024, for each unit affected by the operation of the passenger motor transportation service, as established by Law 17,233.
Transportation fee: how much each category pays
Likewise, the following categories and amounts that must be paid as Taxes for buses, microbuses, buses, rural buses and automobiles are determined:
- Categories with capacity for up to eight seated passengers and that, loaded, does not exceed a maximum weight of 3,500 kilos: $33,364.80.
- Category with more than eight seated passengers and that, loaded, does not exceed the maximum weight of 5,000 kilos: $45,863.36.
- Category with more than eight seated passengers and that, loaded, exceeds the weight of 5,000 kilos: $58,414.88.
- Semi-bed, executive bed and suite bed transportation services: $70,966.40.
The payment of the National Transportation Inspection Rate corresponding to the year 2024 will be in five equal installmentswhose expiration date is detailed below:
- Installment 1: March 18, 2024;
- Installment 2: April 16, 2024;
- Installment 3: May 16, 2024;
- Installment 4: July 16, 2024; and
- Installment 5: September 16, 2024.
Vehicles involved in occasional international trips, or in transit through the national territory, are excluded from the payment in installments provided above. When vehicles are registered by incorporation into the mobile fleet of passenger motor transport companies, the ownership of the mobile fleet will be considered affected from the day of registration until December 31 of the same year.
