The list of applicants for the country’s most important business prize, the Pegasus, is getting longer every day. Established companies with a long history are among the submitters, as are companies with a young history. Pegasus is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and the motto is: “Forward together”.

“Stay small and clear” has been the motto of the Karl Sinzinger metalworking shop for 102 years. The company, which is run by the great-grandson of the founder, Karl Sinzinger IV, is on the one hand a locksmith and on the other hand specialized in safes: opening safes whose number combination no one knows anymore is the specialty of the Linz-based company, which is located at “Success stories” has applied.

The history of is comparatively young “Pedacola” from St. Thomas am Blasestein: In 2008 the idea of ​​developing a regional cola drink came about. Peter Leitner’s team spent two years fine-tuning the recipe and the drink, which does not contain any added cola nuts or colorings, has been on sale for ten years. The basis is the cola bush, plus beet sugar, vanilla, mint and lemon. New flavors and products are constantly being developed. Pedacola has joined the “Innovation emperors” Applied.

No more tangled cables

The Freistadt-based company is pursuing cable order and therefore more safety and cleanliness around e-charging stations “Cable Sherpa” with the managing directors Andreas Affenzeller, Erwin Kunst and Helmut Kastler: The charging cable is kept away from the floor, which creates accessibility and makes it easier for people with disabilities to access e-mobility. “Cable Sherpa” is among the hopes for the future.
