The RENATRE (National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers) approved an increase in the amounts of Unemployment Benefit for all rural workers in the month of April.
According to Resolution 1226/2024 published in the Official Gazette, the amount for unemployment will be set with a minimum amount of $50,000 and a maximum of $100,000.
It is worth remembering that in the month of March, the benefit was at a minimum amount of $42,500 and a maximum of $85,000.
The official text maintains that the increase is financed with the resources of the responsible agency: The RENATRE, in charge the benefit. This entity is made up of representatives of various organizations belonging to the rural sector, with its management headed by members designated by business and union entities of agricultural activity.
Paritarias: rural workers agreed to 12% for March
The Argentine Union of Rural Workers and Stevedores (UATRE), the employers and the National State, agreed on a salary increase for the month of March of 12%, leaving the basic salary of the field laborers at $425,231.67 and the daily wage at $18,707.22.
On the other hand, a non-remunerative Extraordinary Allocation (bonus) of 11% was established, which represents about $46,775.48 for salaries and $2,057.79 for daily wages. This salary recomposition is for all permanent and continuous benefit personnel.
In April there will be a new review with the members of the National Agrarian Work Commission (CNTA).
This delay in the monthly agreement occurred due to the change of authorities in the National Ministry of Labor, which seriously delayed the negotiations, hindering the sustained salary increases that rural workers have been receiving since November 2023.
The signing of the agreement occurs on Ruralista’s Day, which since 1986 has been celebrated every March 18, established by Argentine Rural Confederations (CRA).
The date aims to honor the people who work in the field and participate in the life of the linked institutions.
