The Government yesterday called a last-minute joint meeting at the Ministry of Labor. The union declared itself in a state of alert.
The State Workers Association (ATE) decided to temporarily suspend the 48 hour strike scheduled from this Tuesday in the SENASA. The force measure, which affected key areas for exports, ports, airports and customs, was suspended after the Government’s call to resolve the wage and layoff claim carried out by the union.

Yesterday the Government called a last-minute joint meeting in the Labor Secretary. ATE’s force measure was going to generate complications, since it could be linked to the XXL weekend of Easter and the holidays of April 2.

The 48-hour strike of ATE in SENASA was lifted
“At the call of the organization’s authorities and as a sign of good will, we have decided to postpone the 2-day force measure that we were going to begin today,” said Rodolfo Aguiar, the general secretary of ATE at the national level.
In this way, the union of state workers decided to lower the tension of the conflict, although it does not give up on its demands in the midst of the adjustment of Javier Milei’s government.

SENASA: ATE lifted today’s strike.
“It must be clear that the government must provide positive responses to all workers’ demands and put an end to the uncertainty of layoffs. We will not tolerate any illegal and unjustified layoffs,” Aguiar added.
“If the full stability of all those hired is not guaranteed, once the long weekend is over we will resume our entire action plan,” Aguiar warned today in a message he published from his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
