A subsidy correction averaged EUR 13,000. The option to correct an application for Covid-19 funding on the website of the corona financing agency Cofag has been available since August 1st. Finance Minister Magnus Brunner (ÖVP) appeals to companies to act correctly, also to avoid fines.
“Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, we have relied on quick and unbureaucratic relief measures to support companies in these difficult times. We wanted to be as accommodating as possible, but also as strict as necessary. For this reason, companies have the option of mistakenly I can only appeal to all those affected to make use of the opportunity to make corrections in good time and thus avert harsh penalties, “said Brunner.
The most affected funding instrument for correction reports is the revenue replacement with a volume of 7.3 million euros, followed by the default bonus with 3.9 million euros and the fixed cost subsidies with almost 3 million euros. Around 60 percent of the correction reports concern the amount of the grant, 40 percent are reported back due to a lack of authorization to apply.
