Large companies should help small ones in obtaining lucrative loans, provide them with grants, and also assist in the promotion of goods and services. These norms, among others, were included in the draft declaration on the interaction of large business with SMEs, developed by the Ministry of Economic Development (Izvestia has it).
In addition, in terms of access to infrastructure, the Minek invites large firms to share their information services and software with small ones, help them with the promotion of goods and services, and also hold thematic exhibitions and fairs with the participation of small businesses. And in the area of market access, it is advisable to organize a transparent, open and fair procurement process and advise SMEs on participation in tenders, the declaration says.
Finally, for the development of human capital, large companies are required to conduct training courses for SMEs on management, productivity growth and acceleration programs for business scaling.
The declaration is of a recommendatory nature, however, the Ministry of Economic Development plans to assess in a special way those companies that will join it. These firms are expected to report their interactions with SMEs in their annual accounts. At the same time, based on the achievement of the indicators of the document, the final assessment of the companies’ activities will be formed, which can be used to compare them with each other.
