The Front of All will present its own project in Deputies

The opposition of Together for Change requested a session for a modification of the article that establishes the non-taxable minimum of the Personal Property Tax, an initiative that already has the sanction of the Senate.

The initiation of the bench led by Máximo Kirchner, would keep the Non-Taxable Minimum for real estate destined for a home unchanged, which today is $ 18 million and the one used for goods abroad. While the maximum rate is increased: assets that exceed $ 100 million will pay a rate of 1.5%. Currently the maximum rate is 1.25%.

What the project says

  • Increase the Non-Taxable Minimum to $ 6 million (today it is $ 2 million). The Non-Taxable Minimum for real estate destined for a home would remain unchanged (today it is $ 18 million) and the one used for goods abroad.
  • Increase in the maximum rate: equity that exceeds $ 100 million will pay a rate of 1.5%. Currently the maximum rate is 1.25% for goods that exceed $ 18 million.
  • Annual and automatic update by means of the General Level Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the Non-Taxable Minimum in force for all the goods (not for the special minimum for house rooms) and for the sections of the aliquot scale.

The session called for 2 p.m. was requested on Friday by the JXC deputies, Silvia Lospennato, Cristian Ritondo, Mario Negri, Rodrigo de Loredo, Horacio García Aresca, Juan Manuel López, Carlos Gutiérrez, Enrique Estévez, José Luis Espert and Javier Milei.

The proposal was promoted last week by JXC in the framework of the special session in which the 2022 Budget was debated, which was finally rejected by the opposition arch.

It was the first non-consensual vote of the new integration of the Chamber, where the opposition prevailed by 130 to 116 to the ruling party.

In addition to Together for Change, they voted in favor of advancing with the treatment of the project on Personal Assets the Federal interblock; United Provinces; the libertarians and Felipe Álvarez de SER from La Rioja.

This modification will allow increasing the non-taxable minimum of the tax so that a smaller number of taxpayers are included in the payment of this tax, highlighted parliamentary sources.

The bill, which has been approved by the Senate, will be debated beforehand at 1:00 p.m. in the Budget committee, chaired by Carlos Heller. In this commission the new project will be presented.

The bill needs to be signed into law before the end of the year in order to enter into force, hence such haste.
