In line with the collapse of 0km sales, the Chamber of Automotive Commerce (CCA) reported that in March 105,969 used vehicles were sold in Argentina, which represents a drop of 27.83% compared to the same month in 2023 (146,826 units).

If compared to February (106,228 vehicles), the decrease was 0.24%. The data is known after the Dealer Association (Acara) registered a collapse of 0KM patents.

In the first three months of the year, 328,332 units were sold, a drop of 16.13% compared to the same period in 2023 (391,483 units).

In this period, the province that suffered the greatest decline was Formosa: 34.13%. The one that fell the least was Between rivers: 11.02%.

“The decline that has been occurring in recent months in the marketing of used car sales is not only linked to the strong economic measures that the government is implementing but also to a sector of the market that is “sales between individuals,” he said. Alejandro Lamas, secretary of the CCA.

He said that “this percentage, which was and is important, continues to manage prices that confuse and distort the market. A market that despite the current moment is rebuilding its stock and has an offer of products that the public demanded.”

“On the other hand, bank rates are dropping significantly and this means that entities are slowly beginning to offer loans according to people’s needs,” Lamas mentioned.
