The Renewal Front estimates that 1.1 million people will pay Profits again

“There is no money,” he told them. Javier Milei to the governors and gave them as a bargaining chip the reimposition of the Income Tax on workers as the only alternative to compensate for the ailing provincial accounts. That is why he sent a new bill to Congress to reinstate the tax so 1.1 million people will pay it againaccording to estimates made by the Frente Renovador.

Through a post on the social network X, the party founded by Sergio Massa published a report titled Salary is not profits.

“With the Milei project, more than 1.1 million workers who earn more than $1,300,000 will immediately pay profits again. “More taxes for workers, new salary cut”indicates the report.

The report reviews the tax on the fourth category in recent years and explains that between 2003 and 2022 the number of workers and retirees covered by the tax in relation to the number of workers in a dependency relationship “it was growing substantially.”

In this sense, the Frente Renovador remembers that through law 27,725, passed in October 2023 and promoted by Sergio Massa, “The scheme was modified with two objectives: to reduce the tax pressure on workers and retirees and to simplify the mechanics of

liquidation of the tax” reaching only people with higher incomes.

In this regard, he maintains that “With this proposal of higher income, only 160 thousand employees (CEOs, Managers, employees) currently pay

public rivers, retirements and privilege pensions).

Next line the report warns that the project sent by the Government of Javier Milei eliminates the schedular tax on high incomes and “We return to the scheme prior to 2021.”

“This means that 1.1 million workers who today do not pay Earnings taxes would once again pay the tax at rates ranging from 5 to 35%,” he adds.

Regarding the non-taxable minimum and the tax scales, the Frente Renovador explains that the project proposes an update every 3 months for inflation in January, April, July and October of each year, but only as of January 2025. “This update starting in 2025 would imply that in 2024 2 million workers will end up paying the tax”beyond the fact that the Government reserves the possibility of adjusting the minimum during this year.
