The most relevant point of this project is the restitution of the fourth category of Income Tax. If this law is approved, the non-taxable minimum will be $1,800,000 for singles, while for married people with children it will be 2,200,000 pesos.
In its argument, the project maintains that “the Argentine tax system registers one of the highest rates of tax pressure in the world when analyzing the formal sector of the economy. The existence of numerous distorting taxes hinders and marginalizes many individuals, companies and enterprises in the formal sector. According to the text, this “led to a breach of tax obligations by these companies, which greatly damaged tax collection”.
