The Argentine Federation of Rental and Horizontal Building Workers (FATERYH) announced the approval by the Government of the sector’s joint venture, which contemplates a cumulative salary increase of 81% so far this year.
The agreement, which covers the first quarter of the year, was complemented with an additional 4% increase for April. This increase is added to those previously achieved in January (22%), February (45%) and March (10%).
The agreement, signed with the business chambers of the sector, the Real Estate Association of Rental and Horizontal Buildings, the Argentine Chamber of Horizontal Property and Real Estate Activities (CAPHA) and the Administrators Union (UA), includes Collective Labor Agreements (CCT) 589 and 590/10.
It is due to the increase in the salaries of building managers. Last year the accumulated increase was close to 40%.

With this new salary scale, the lowest category of the activity will see a substantial increase, with a salary of $287,533 for part-time assistantswhile the highest category, the building mayors, will reach a basic salary of $907,544.
From FATERYHthe importance of guaranteeing decent working conditions and the sufficiency of salaries for the subsistence of workers was highlighted, as well as the need to maintain the purchasing power of salaries in a challenging economic context for the country.
In any case, the union stressed that This agreement will not be final, since there will be a next joint meeting to discuss a recomposition and/or salary increase starting in May. The discussion will try to establish an agreement for the following periods.
Regarding the expiration of the payment period, the Provision establishes that “must be carried out under the concept on account of the joint agreement of the month of March and April of the year 2024″.
