Certification fees for auto parts and other INTI services rise

In a measure that impacts the automotive industry, the Government adjusted this Tuesday through the Official Gazette the tariffs for procedures before the INTI.

He National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) updated from this Tuesday, April 23 service fees corresponding to the issuance of the Certificate of Homologation Carparts and/or Safety Elements (CHAS) as well as those that apply to evaluations linked to Model Configuration Licenses (LCM).

Both items are part of the technological offer provided by the Institute and were adjusted through provisions 12 and 13 of the organization. The first is dictated online with the objective of guaranteeing the safety conditions that must be met by vehicles that are manufactured and imported to be released into public traffic, as well as safety auto parts and in compliance with the regulations that empower national authorities. in industrial or transportation matter to supervise compliance with the laws that regulate the manufacture and import of vehicles and parts.

The new tariffs set for CHAS reach up to $540,000 from the established increase from today for the prices of the certificate, key for the auto parts market.

On the other hand, it is worth remembering that, in order to be released to public traffic, all vehicles, coupled and semi-coupled that are manufactured in the country or imported for such purposes, must have the respective License for Model Configuration (LCM), granted by the competent authority, in accordance with the procedure established in Annex “P” of the aforementioned decree.
