Freight carriers will raise prices by 15-25%

Freight carriers began to notify their customers about the increase in prices for transport services by 15-25%, depending on the direction. Izvestia was informed about this by the National Association of Freight Automobile Transport Gruzavtotrans.

According to her, more than 80% of members of the organization began to notify customers about price increases.

Market participants associate the increase with the rise in the cost of components, oil, and machine maintenance. But one of the main reasons is the increase in the price of diesel for the year by 16-19%, which accounts for half of the costs of freight carriers. This was the reason for the association’s appeal to the President of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) with a request to influence the rise in fuel prices.

“We have already informed all clients about the increase in prices for our transport services by at least 20%,” confirmed Maxim Roskov, general director of the Larm cargo carrier.

According to the association, diesel fuel at filling stations has jumped in price in all regions of Russia over the year by an average of 9 rubles per liter, that is, by 16-19%.

Gruzavtotrans asked the authorities to influence the pricing of fuel. The organization sent appropriate appeals to the FAS, the Ministry of Energy and the presidential administration. Following fuel prices and transportation costs, the cost of all goods on store shelves is growing, the association said. They proposed to ban the export of oil products abroad until the domestic market is saturated. Among the initiatives, including the development of a support program for road carriers, the allocation of subsidies and subsidies to the industry, as well as the abolition of the excise tax on fuel.
