The Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo plans to announce this Thursday the formula that prepaid medicine companies must use to increase their prices.
“On Thursday we are going to clarify the formula so there are no doubts and we are going to open a channel for complaints for invoices that do not comply with what is regulated and agreed upon. The Government maintains a dispute with the prepaid since mid-April, when it decided to set limits on the increases that these companies applied since last December.
The thing is that these companies had adjusted the values of their quotas well above inflation: between December and March the price increase was 70% and prepaid installments rose more than 150%.

“Using their dominant position, they increased the quotas above the 70% percent of the inflation rate during the last four months,” he added.
The Government will fine prepaid companies that do not roll back the increases
