Stock exchange in Frankfurt: Dax gets a small cushion of over 18,000 points

Supported by Wall Street, the Dax initially rose slightly further on Monday. The leading index moved somewhat away from the 18,000 point mark around which it had fluctuated in the past few days. In early trading it gained 0.28 percent to 18,051 points. The MDax followed it up by 0.27 percent to 26,372 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 rose by 0.2 percent.

With the positive start, the Dax could once again establish itself above the recently hotly contested 50-day average line. A directional decision is looming in the chart, it was said among chart technicians on Monday. Recently, the fact that a relatively weak US labor market report on Friday gave more hope for interest rate cuts in the near future has given the world stock markets some impetus. In the eyes of UBS experts, the scenario of a “soft landing” is underpinned, in which growth and inflation cool down at the same time.
