He Central Bank (BCRA) confirmed entry into circulation on new $10,000 billwhich will begin to be distributed gradually from today through the extensive network of bank branches and ATMs that span the entire country.

This bill presents on its obverse the images of Manuel Belgrano and María Remedios del Valle, a prominent heroine of the War of Independence. On the reverse, the scene of the Flag Pledge that took place on February 27, 1812 is artistically recreated. Belgrano’s image is a portrait attributed to the French artist François Casimir Carbonnier, while the representation of the heroine comes from the work “La Capitana” by the Argentine artist Gisela Banzer.

This $10,000 bill, along with the $20,000 bill that will bear the image of Juan Bautista Alberdi and which is expected to be in circulation in the last quarter of the year, will facilitate transactions between users, optimize the logistics of the financial system and contribute to reducing the costs associated with the acquisition of finished banknotes. Both banknotes are part of the “Heroines and Heroes of the Homeland” family, announced in May 2022.
