The Government extended the deadline to acquire tourist services throughout the country through the Simple Fee program, understanding that this sector stimulates economic growth and the development of commerce.
The decision was formalized through Resolution 37/2024 of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, published this Friday in the Official Gazette.
In January of this year, Economía established that Cuota Simple will be valid until the 31st of this month, but admitted that this period could be extendedsince this Program (which replaced the “Now 12”) “has proven to be a capable and highly advantageous instrument for the subjects involved,” according to that Ministry.
A month later, it was determined to frame within the types of financing of the Program, with a validity period of 90 days, the Tourism category.
Now, the Executive Branch highlighted that this sector “had a positive impact in February and March, months in which it is noted that more than 140,000 projects have been carried out within the framework of the Program, which in economic terms results in more than $29,000 million.” .
For this reason, he stressed that “the vital importance of the tourism sector as an engine of economic growth and trade development is clear. This is why it is essential to ensure its strengthening through the Simple Quota.”
At the same time, it clarified that Tourism includes the following services and/or products to be provided entirely within the national territory: long-distance bus tickets, air tickets, hotels and other tourist accommodations, tourist packages acquired through travel agencies, rental cars, excursions and recreational activities, and regional products.
As of this week, the Program began to have a nominal annual rate of 50%, equivalent to an annual effective rate of 63.2% and a monthly rate of 4.17%.
This is the fifth reduction in the financing rate since the official initiative began to take effect last February.
Simple Fee allows you to finance product purchases in 3 and 6 fixed monthly installments in both virtual stores and participating stores throughout the country.
