The Government decided to carry out a series of displacements of eight senior AFIP officials that came from the previous management. The provision of the collecting entity informs that the functions of eight hierarchical officials are “completed and assigned.”

In the recitals it clarifies that the measure has the approval of the General Directorate of Customs, which already has a new owner.

The displaced officials worked in Customs. The list includes: Juan Carlos Saucedo, Rubén Cesar Pave, Marcelo Alejandro Sosa, Marcelo Fabián Lista, Horacio Miguel Font, Eduardo Salvador Di Grigoli, María Luisa Carbonell and Gladys Liliana Morando.

Government removes Rosario Lodovico from Customs and appoints Eduardo Mallea

The Government decided to replace Rosana Lodovico head of Customs and in his place appointed Eduardo Mallea, official sources confirmed to Ambit. The new official is a specialist in Customs Law and Foreign Trade.

Minutes later, in a statement from AFIP, he reported that Florence Misrahi appointed Mallea as the new Director General of Customs, “with the objective of professionalizing, modernizing and depoliticizing the organization, and continuing with its restructuring plan.”

According to the statement, Mallea was summoned “to join its leadership team, in order to make the AFIP a technical and non-political body, and giving the General Directorate of Customs a professional, modern and experienced approach.”

“Mallea is an expert in the field of customs law recognized for his career, knowledge and experience, and since 2012 he has been distinguished as one of the leading lawyers in the field,” he adds.
